To say that Pan and Cook’s focus is to transform Natural ingredients into fresh delicious quality food and beverages is true.
That’s the essence of what we do – but it hardly tells the whole story.
Our Legacy
Our Poffertjes or Dutch Mini Pancake recipe is to us – our hero and our legacy. For over 100 years, this recipe has been enjoyed behind closed doors of a family, who appreciates quality food and togetherness.
In 2017, one of the family members called Win, decided to share this beautiful product and experience with his fellow Ghanaians. It all began with extensive classes with his then 90 year old grand mother. She took him and his partner Kyara, through what may have seemed like an exaggeration on details, but made them quickly realise, that the secret of her amazing product lied in those details.
Why Pan and Cook?
Metaphoric meaning:
It’s simple, a good dish requires a good cook and a good pan. Without good utensils, a chef can not operate and without savoir-faire he can not create delicious recipes. This is what granny taught us, to always use natural ingredients, make fresh products and share our positive energy with the people who enjoy our food. That’s what we always feel with her and that’s what we aim to convey to our customers.
Literal meaning:
We transformed the Dutch word pannekoek into an English expression – Pan and Cook, which literally means panned cake or a cake that has been panned. In a few words Pan and Cook stands for pancake.
The two meanings combined should give you an indication on our future additions…

Our mission is “to connect communities with little pleasures in life”.
We believe that the little pleasures in life are so important, we all need to disconnect for a brief moment from reality. That is why we pay close attention into making our products as natural and healthy as possible.

These poffertjes were beyond great – served hot with melting butter, nutella and icing. This is just how they should be! Would take Pan & Cook’s mini pancakes any day everyday.
